Question 27. What misfortune did the fall bring upon mankind?

Answer. The fall brought separation from God and also brought His wrath and curse upon mankind, so we became children of wrath by nature and slaves to Satan, and deserve all punishments in this world and the next.

Because of the angels who sinned in the kingdom of God, the kingdom of God's rest was broken, the material world was created to confine them, and the unfortunate event of humans with flesh was created and the spirit was imprisoned in that flesh occurred. As a result, the man and woman created from the first man, and all humans born after that, became sinners and slaves to sin ruled by Satan.

God gave us a chance to repent and return to the kingdom of God, but God will judge those who do not repent. Repentance means that believers realize that they have sinned against God enough to die on the cross, and die with Jesus. Then, God will resurrect them to their former state. Therefore, believers believe that they have been resurrected with Jesus. Resurrection means returning them to the state of angels in the previous kingdom of God.

Luke 20:35-36 But those who are considered worthy to attain that age and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage, nor can they die any more, for they are equal to angels and are children of God, being children of the resurrection.
